Barna, a picturesque little village with an excellent bathing beach nearby at Silverstrand and a small beach adjacent to Barna pier.
Barna village was once a satellite of Galway city, but the village is now rapidly becoming one of its suburbs.
It is a charming little holiday spot with fine restaurants and bars. There are also many nice cafes and take-away food outlets.
Bathing, boating and shore fishing are among the attractions for visitors.
