Timoleague, meaning “house of Molaga”, is a lovely village in West Cork between Kinsale and Clonakilty.
St. Molaga is reputed to have brought beekeeping and honey to Ireland.
Timoleague Abbey was founded in 1240, built on the site of a monastic settlement founded by Saint Molaga in the 6th century.
There are numerous outdoor activities to avail of in the area, including walking, sailing, surfing, and fishing.
The Timoleague Harvest Festival is an annual festival held every August.
