Poulnabrone dolmen is an unusually large dolmen or portal tomb located in the Burren, County Clare.
The tomb comprises of three standing portal stones supporting a heavy capstone, and dates to the Neolithic period, between 4200 BC and 2900 BC.
Poulnabrone dolmen is the best known of the estimated 170 dolmens in Ireland.
