Templenoe, from the Irish meaning “new temple”, is situated on Kenmare Bay between Kenmare and Sneem in South Kerry.

Dunkerron Castle was built around 1215 and was the seat of power of the O’Sullivan Mór for 400 years. It was burned in 1646 to prevent it being taken over by advancing Cromwellian forces.

Dromore Castle on the shores of Kenmare Bay was the home of the O’Mahonys and was built in the early 1830s.

The beautiful Ring of Kerry golf club is also located here.
